Exodus Makumbe
Exodus Makumbe is a leading entrepreneur in Southern Africa with over 25 years of experience in executive leadership, banking, finance, and infrastructure construction. He has a distinguished career marked by the successful formation and leadership of multiple companies in banking, real estate, road infrastructure construction, residential, commercial and industrial property development ; petroleum , education, water and sanitation etc. Exodus played a pivotal role in the transformation of Premier Discount House into Premier Banking Corporation (now Ecobank) and served as its managing director before becoming the Chief Executive Officer of Premier Finance Group. In 2007, he ventured into forming Exodus & Company (Pvt) Limited and has continued to exhibit his entrepreneurial acumen. He currently serves as the non-executive chairman of Exodus & Company (Pvt) Limited, Workman (Pvt) Limited, and Platinum Groupe (Pvt) Ltd, showcasing his extensive entrepreneurial experience and leadership capabilities.
Progress Mambo
Progress Mambo, the CEO of Exodus & Company (Pvt) Ltd, brings over 20 years of experience in leadership, risk management, and project management. Progress played a transformational role in growing Exodus & Company from its inception as a small infrastructure company to becoming a leading infrastructure group. Under his leadership, Exodus & Company has pioneered modern housing development in Zimbabwe and expanded into multiple areas of commercial and industrial property development, road infrastructure development, water, and sanitation. Currently, they also hold directorships at Workman (Pvt) Limited and Platinum Groupe (Pvt) Limited. With a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and an Honours’ Degree in Business Studies from the University of Zimbabwe, they are also an Associate of the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe. Progress has held executive roles at Premier Finance Group Limited, NMB Bank, Agricultural Bank of Zimbabwe, and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. His strong systems development skills and successful project leadership have significantly contributed to his professional journey.
George C Madzvamuse
George possesses over 15 years of extensive experience in the specialized fields of Corporate and Investment Banking, Fund Management, Wealth Management, and Strategy. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (B Acc) Hons from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management with a focus on Money and Capital Markets. Additionally, he is a member of the South African Association of Accountancy (SAAA) and the Institute of Bankers Zimbabwe (IOBZ).
George began his career as an investment analyst at the National Asset Management Corporation (NAMCO). He then joined Premier Asset Management as a portfolio manager, where he gained significant experience in fund and wealth management. Following this, he transitioned to Premier Banking Corporation Limited as a senior business banking manager in Corporate and Investment Banking, specializing in corporate infrastructure development, business development, and public sector investment management for over three years.
Currently, George serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Platinum Groupe (Pvt) Ltd. The group encompasses several Strategic Business Units (SBUs), including:
- Platinum Microfinance Finance – Focused on Micro and Nano Loans
- Platinum Securities – Engaged in Securities Trading
- Platinum Financial Solutions – Providing Financial and Infrastructural Advisory
- Platinum Investment Management – Specializing in Wealth and Fund Management
- Platinum Investment Africa Limited (Kigali) – Concentrating on Private Equity Investments and Funds Management
Prosper Mapika, CFA
Prosper brings in a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years in the investment management markets. He holds a B Comm. Banking (NUST), a MSc. Finance & Investments (NUST) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with the CFA Institute of the United States of America. Before his appointment to the Exodus & Company Board, he was a Fund Manager with Premier Asset Management Private Limited, a position he held for more than three years serving in treasury, securities trading and Investment Analysis. He distinguished himself as an investment analyst through sitting on the Judges and Analysts Panel of the Fingaz Top Twenty Companies survey from 2005 to 2008.
Prosper was incorporated into the pioneering Exodus & Company Board, responsible for projects and development and is the current Managing Director of Platinum Investments Manager (Pvt) Limited, an associate company.
Tinashe Chigunhah
Tinashe was appointed Managing Director in 2022, after serving as the company’s inaugural Chief Operating Officer. With 22 years of experience in financial services, infrastructure construction, and real estate development, he has played a pivotal role in shaping Exodus & Company’s growth and success.
His expertise in Financial services spans for 10 years with Platinum Groupe (Pvt) Ltd, Premier Finance Group, and NDH Asset Managers (Pvt) Ltd, with experience in corporate advisory, risk management, treasury, lending, compliance, and investment banking.
His expertise in Infrastructure construction and real estate development is for 12 years, with notable projects including Madokero Estate, Mabvazuva, and national highway construction and rehabilitation initiatives. He holds an MSc. in Finance & Investments and a B. Com (Hons) Degree in Finance, both with the National University of Science and Technology (NUST).
Liberty Kusena
Liberty Kusena is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in banking and infrastructure development. As the Chief Operating Officer of Exodus & Company, he plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and financial oversight within the organization.
He holds a Master of Commerce in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance, equipping him with deep expertise in corporate strategy, governance, and leadership. Liberty is also a Chartered Certified Accountant and is registered with the Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB) as a Public Accountant, underscoring his strong financial acumen and regulatory compliance expertise.
Throughout his career, Liberty has been instrumental in leading large-scale infrastructure projects, financial planning, and corporate governance initiatives. His extensive background in banking has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of financial management, risk assessment, and investment strategies, contributing to the sustainable growth of businesses and infrastructure projects.

Alex Mashangu (CEng)
An experienced Chartered Civil Engineer, Chartered Project Professional, and Chartered Manager, with 28 years of experience in Design & Construction of Roads, Bridges, Drainage, Buildings, Railway, Liquid Retaining Structures, Cathodic Protection, Water & Sewage Reticulation, and Cement Manufacturing.
Experienced in technical, managerial, commercial, contracts administration, health, safety, and environment, relating to different sectors, including cement manufacturing and construction. Has worked in several roles, including Construction Engineer, Project Engineer, Site Agent, Project Manager, Director of Projects, Operations Manager, and Plant Manager.
Has international experience, having worked in United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Kenya, and Botswana. Has worked for international companies, including Bechtel (Engineering, Construction and Project Management), and Lafarge (Construction of Cement Processing Plants and Cement Manufacturing). Has worked on some of the world recognised projects, including the Channel Tunnel Rail Link – UK (underground high-speed railway line between London and Paris), Crossrail – UK (London underground railway line), M6 Toll – UK (6-Lane Toll Road in Birmingham). His wealth of experience is transferrable to different sectors of design & construction, and manufacturing processes.
Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Water Engineering, Masters in Business Administration, and a Doctorate in Business Administration.
